A most charming and artistic environment. A most friendly and helpful proprietor. The atmosphere is charming and the food is quite wonderful!. The decor is quite exceptional, down to the last detail. If I return to this area, I will certainly book this boutique inn!!

We stayed for 5 days at this quiet place with the friendly family of Joe and Jeena. We had a nice and well designed room with balcony with hillview. In the morning we woke up with the sound of birds. Joe arranged some trips and gave us a lot of information. The ayurvedic massage was relaxing. The food was excellent in the pleasant restaurant. It was all home cooked.

We both agreed this was the best place we stayed at during our trip to India so far. The features of a boutique hotel-quality homestay, but in a serene and peaceful oasis, with the owners never having lost touch with the essence of homestays: welcoming, friendly and warm, everyone in the family was always happy to chat to us and get to know us, even Joe’s lovely children. The homecooked Keralan meals were the best dishes we have had and you can really tell just how good this homestay is for supporting the local community, traders, artists and guides, whilst also staying eco-friendly. Nothing was ever too much to ask, always giving good tips, with the possibility of organizing jeeps, treks or massages. Mind, its a little far from Munnar proper, but you are rewarded with beautiful scenery. We will 100% be back, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you to Joe and his family

Good value Homestay with the most amazing views

The views are what make this place, plus the personal touch of the owner Joe, his wife, and their two charming sons. Rooms are a little snug, but clean and bright, with efficient ceiling fan and comfy beds. Amazing balcony with comfy seats and those jaw dropping views - sit there and spot the wonderful bird life! Others have commented on the proximity of a busy road, and being a rather light sleeper I was initially worried by this. However, it quietens at night, and did not disturb us in any way. Joe appears to run everything there himself ( assisted by the family) and will organise transfers, jeep trips, plantation walks and laundry . The food at Mistletoe was superb with an extensive menu for dinner, and a different Indian breakfast offering each morning. We brought our own beers and wine with us and Joe helpfully let us store them in his fridge. A really nice touch was a small bouquet presented by Tagus in the morning, and the dinner table laid with flowers for our wedding anniversary whilst we were there. Would especially recommend the jeep tour of elephant watering hole, waterfalls and tea plantations with Jinish, and the morning spice plantation and bird walk. Thanks to Joe and the family!

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay in this cozy and comfortable place. Very nicely equipped and decorated rooms and outsides. From the balcony in the room you can enjoy a relaxing view out to the lush garden and the heights of Munnar. The food served by the owner and his smart son was all delicious, real Kerala home cooked speciality every day for breakfast and dinner.
